Mutaz Barshim triumphs in the high jump with 2.31 meters

Updated: Jul 21

Qatari high jumper Mutaz Barshim confidently secured victory in the recent high jump competition with an impressive height of 2.32 meters. His outstanding performance once again demonstrated his class and status as one of the best high jumpers in the world. Barshim is known for his technical brilliance and competitiveness. He easily jumped over the height of 2.31 meters and only narrowly failed to reach the set height of 2.38 m. The fans watched with excitement as Barshim, with his characteristic technique and his endearing, humble manner, embraced the former organizer of the International High Jump Meeting in Eberstadt, Peter Schramm. Donald Thomas, who narrowly missed out on winning the world championship title in the W40 age group, also dedicated his jumping to him.

On the competition place you could see many members of the organizing team with tears in their eyes at this gesture.
